Job Summary

Short-form video decides which creators grow and which ones stall. Halevora turns hours of raw long-form footage from top creators into daily vertical clips built to stop thumbs and hold attention. You sit at the center of that machine: cutting fast, cutting sharp, and shipping every working day. This is volume work at a craft standard most editors never reach.

Short-Form Editor

Your Role

You take hours of long-form creator footage and mine it for the thirty seconds that matter. Then you cut those seconds into vertical clips with pace, captions, sound design, and a hook that lands inside the first second. Four or more finished clips leave your desk every working day.

You work inside a small senior content team on European core hours. Your clips go live to audiences of millions within hours of export. There is no approval queue to hide behind; the retention numbers tell everyone exactly how good you are.

Ideal Candidate

  • You have cut short-form clips daily for at least a year and can prove it with links.
  • You find the hook in an hour of raw footage without being told where to look.
  • You treat retention graphs as feedback, not as an insult.
  • You ship fast without shipping sloppy. Volume and craft, both, every day.
  • You know current short-form trends cold: pacing, caption styles, sound choices, formats.
  • You work European core hours (CET) without drama, wherever you live.
  • You want your output measured in views held, not hours logged.

Requirements

Proven short-form record

Your portfolio does the talking.

You bring published vertical clips you cut yourself, ideally for creators or brands with real audiences. We judge the work, not the resume.

Speed with standards

Four clips a day, none of them filler.

Daily volume is non-negotiable and so is quality. You need a workflow, a template library, and instincts sharp enough to hit both without burning out.

Serious hardware and connection

Your setup cannot be the bottleneck.

You edit on a machine that renders without choking and an internet line that uploads large exports fast. We ask for your specs and a speed test in the application.

Self-managed and coachable

Own your queue, take the notes.

You run your own pipeline, hit deadlines without a producer chasing you, and fold feedback into the next cut instead of defending the last one.

What You'll Do

001Join the daily edit call at 11:00 CET to review yesterday's numbers and lock today's clip list.
002Cut and deliver at least 4 finished vertical clips per day from long-form creator footage.
003Write hooks, captions, and on-screen text that hold viewers past the first three seconds.
004Study retention data on your published clips and adjust your next cuts to what the numbers show.
005Maintain a library of reusable templates, sounds, and caption styles that keeps daily output fast.
006Flag the strongest raw moments to the content lead so nothing viral dies on a hard drive.

You Shouldn't Apply If

  • You want a comfortable 9-5. This role runs at full throttle and demands an all-in mentality.
  • You are looking for a side gig or part-time freelance work. This seat is full-time, every day.
  • You take feedback personally. Your cuts get measured, critiqued, and redone when the data says so.
  • You need a week per edit. Editors here ship daily.
